Jason is an established musician and songwriter with diverse roots in Rock, Jazz and Blues.
His musical passion stems from his early high school days playing in rock
and high school jazz bands.
During his college years in Monterey, CA he joined an alternative rock band, Sonic Graffiti, where they held weekly gigs at the Monterey Brewing company as well as other local venues. His original songs were crowd favorites inspiring the birth of his next band, Vision, dedicated to performing original songs. Vision was a routine band on the local scene playing weekly in clubs from Monterey to Santa Cruz. During the next 10 years, Jason began a career in the high tech industry as a security engineer, married, and now has two sons. In 2000 he joined two bands: a classic rock cover band, The Thin Disguise, and The HoneyMac Jazz Ensemble. HoneyMac has opened for Oleta Adams and has played venues such as Ryles in Cambridge. The band still plays regularly in the Boston area. His continuing desire to diversify, along with prompting from his friend Mark, former band member of The Thin Disguise, was to be the genesis of The Walkin' Blues Band. Jason brings his own unique style and rhythm insights into each Walkin' Blues show. Jason's webpage |
